Celebrating 70 Years of Service in 2022!

We are proud to announce that 2022 marks our company’s 70th anniversary. Kleen Kraft Services is a family-owned and operated small independent business based in  Commerce, California, now in its 4th generation of family leadership.

As you know, we provide high-quality uniform rental services to key industries throughout Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties.

How We Began

The company was started in 1952 by Albert Antman as a small retail laundry business. The first location near the University of Southern California was less than 2,500 square feet and simply did the pressing and ironing of retail garments; it didn’t even have its own laundering facilities. Four years later, Albert’s son Seymour joined the family business after graduating from USC. He moved the Kleen Kraft operations to a larger space with its own washroom near downtown Los Angeles and during the 1960s redirected the focus of the business to uniform rental services. 

Introducing Fred Antman, 2nd Generation

In 1975, Seymour’s son, Fred Antman, entered the business. Over the next three decades, the company continued to expand, acquiring Supreme Laundry & Linen and Pride Uniform Rental, and opening a separate corporate office and distribution facility in Commerce to better serve their its growing customer base.  Fred took over the leadership of the company in 1993 and has overseen a steady expansion of business year after year. Recently, Kleen Kraft achieved a Hygienically Clean Certification in food safety from TRSA (Textile Rental Service Association).org, and is the only uniform rental company in Southern California to be certified by the state as a Small Business Enterprise.

“Our 70th Anniversary is a celebration of my grandfather’s enterprise, my father’s vision, and our family’s commitment to serving our customers with reliable, accountable uniform rental services,” shared owner, Fred Antman. “When our business started there were over 100 locally-owned uniform rental companies in the area. Now we are the sole independent firm. As we kick off our 70th year in business, I’m thrilled to have my son, Rick Antman, onboard to continue the family business for years to come.”
